(via imgTumble)My name is Haniyyah and I’m 17 years old.
All my life I grew up the bigger girl, the fat cousin or the fattest girl in the class. Desperate to change a couple years ago I embarked on unhealthy crash diets until I lost a good amount of weight. I thought that it would make people stop harassing me, calling me names like Hagrid and Kit kat Chunky. Well, people refused to change and it made me realize that my self esteem can’t be wrapped up in how they view me but I should love my body for what exactly it is. I am not 5’10 and a naturally skinny girl, I’m 5’1 and a little curvy or chubby or whatever you want to call it but I am slowly learning to love myself and the body type I was given. It’s hard because sometimes I still view myself as that chubby, unhappy girl but now I realize that that girl was beautiful and I am still beautiful now despite what anyone says or makes me believe. Thank you for blogs like this that make us all feel good about ourselves, irrespective to our sizes.
I hope everyone finds contentment in the body they were given, everyone deserves to feel happy and good about themselves.
